Government Contracts
eaga is the UK market leader in the management of grant-funded programmes aimed at tackling fuel poverty. The company manages all four regions of the Government's flagship Warm Front programme in England for the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), the Home Energy Efficiency Scheme (HEES) in Wales for the Welsh Assembly Government and the Warm Homes Scheme in Northern Ireland for the Department of Social Development.
With over 16 years experience of dealing with the most vulnerable groups in society, eaga is well placed to provide further services to Government and Devolved Administration Government, specifically in the field of providing services to older, socially excluded or vulnerable people.

Warm Front (previously the Home Energy Efficiency Scheme) in England
Warm Front is the UK’s largest grant-funded programme for tackling fuel poverty and is funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). The scheme was launched in 2000 and eaga has been principal contractor since that date. eaga was also scheme-managing agent for the predecessor scheme since its inception in 1990.
eaga successfully won a renewed contract in 2005 and secured the award of a larger contracted geographic area covering the whole of England.
The Home Energy Efficiency Scheme (“HEES Wales”) in Wales
This grant-funded scheme for tackling fuel poverty is funded by Wales Assembly Government (WAG). The scheme has been in operation since 2000 and eaga has been principal contractor the scheme manager since that date. eaga was also managing agent scheme manager for the predecessor scheme since inception in 1991, having successfully won one contract renewal.
Warm Homes in Northern Ireland
This is a grant-funded scheme by the Department of Social Development in Northern Ireland. The scheme has been in operation since 2001 and eaga has been scheme manager since that date, and for its predecessor scheme since its inception in 1990.
As the principal contractor or managing agent for the above schemes, eaga is responsible for overall co-ordination of schemes which includes:
- Marketing;
- Client liaison;
- Processing of grant applications;
- Appointment, management and monitoring of the supply chain;
- Receipting and disbursement of government funds;
- Managing the sub-contractor network and commissioning surveys and installations;
- Financial management; and,
- Monitoring and delivery of government targets.
All of the people who qualify for these programmes receive grant-funded support in the form of energy advice, Energy Efficiency Measures and benefit entitlement advice.
